We would guess that the majority of people have favorite National Park sites! We thought we would share some of our favorites from both the United States and Canada with you! 1. Yellowstone National Park - Wyoming (Idaho and Montana, too!) My absolute favorite part of the park is the "side" with the thermal features. Mr. B much prefers the canyon "side." Either way, there is just so much to see an do in Yellowstone! Trails, geysers, hot springs, and wildlife! We have not been able to take K yet, but hopefully that trip will come soon! 2. Banff National Park - Alberta We fell in love on our first trip, and now we visit every winter. It is a little different than what most think of in regards to National Parks because the town is within the park. There are hot springs, ski resorts, trails, and the Aurora Borealis sometimes makes an appearance. Each year when we return we see and do new things (alongside of our favorites of course!). We always ski (K) and snowboard (us) as well as visit the Upper Hot Springs. Sometimes we snowtube, sometimes we ice skate, and sometimes we get out of the park a little for snow mobiling. 3. Boston National Historical Park - Massachusetts Boston is a wonderful city to visit! It is very walkable. In fact, we feel the Freedom Trail is a must when visiting!! One could spend hours wandering between the different sites. We have only walked the trail in its entirety in a day one time. Normally we spread our walk over a few days and pick a different section daily. 4. Point Pelee National Park - Ontario There are ample trails, picnic areas, spots to swim, and spots to see some wildlife at Point Pelee. The beach areas are nice with clean facilities, picnic tables, grills, and plenty of space to plop down a towel to rest on for the day. If walking (or canoeing) in a marshland is more your preference, you are covered there as well! We have already discussed returning sometime in the near future! 5. Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve - Alaska Hello...GLACIERS! Words cannot describe what it is like to witness glaciers calving in person. The sounds, the sights, the general awe of everyone around you! We visited aboard Star Princess this past summer. Glacier Bay Day was certainly one of our favorites from the entire trip! The scenery is beyond gorgeous! It's another park on our return list! What about you? What are some of your favorite parks and why? We would love to visit your favorites one day, too!
